Vistar® - a new high performance corrosion resistant stainless steel alloy is the first new stainless steel to be patented in the past 20 years. Developed by Trevor Machin, Technical Director, Vistar® has completed extensive trials in off-shore oil and gas installations and in desalination systems in casting and forged forms. These trials indicate conclusively that Vistar significantly outperforms titanium and other nickel alloys specified for use in erosive and corrosive environments.

Vistar® has achieved accreditation from all the relevant agencies in the US and Europe and production trials of other forms of Vistar are at an advanced stage and confirm that the alloy's specification is unaffected by the additional manufacturing processes involved.
